Adjustments & Challenges

Since it has been quite a while since my last blog I figured I better come with a post. Sometimes in the world life seems to always keep you on your toes. Once you get used to a routine and think things are starting to get better, a big curve ball is tossed and you swing and miss.

There has been some adjustments I had to make at work. I am working the night shift, which is a major adjustment for me, I have started my second week of nights. I told my boss I will give it a fair try and keep an open mind. I will see after a month how things are going and if I have adjusted. I have spoken to my boss about training for a management position and he told me we would sit down and discuss it. I think is a good start, doing labor is really hurting my body.

The challenge is when to sleep, should I sleep after work or stay up then sleep? I have been going to bed later in the day but only sleep 3-4 hours, then I am up for a couple then back to bed for 3-4 hours and that is not working at all. I even took some pills to help me sleep and that just made it worse, go figure.

I want to show my boss that I am not against changes and I am willing to go the extra mile but how far is one person willing to push themselves. I know if I put my mind to something I can do it, but I am not a young buck anymore and my mind knows what I need to do but my body just says NO WAY! I do have an idea which might help things but I am really scared to do it and I really don't know where to start. Which I could work full time and the other thing until it takes off but that could be at least 5yrs before the word would get out and I would have some experience, then I could hit the bigger markets. I will have to look at things a bit harder and really make a sound decision.

Until Next Time

E.J.
