This weekend my wife and I made a trip about two and a half to three hours away. This was a very enjoyable trip. We do not very often get to travel very much, when we do we enjoy it. Some of the things that need planning is knowing where we are going, how much money will be needed; making sure the vehicle is ready for the trip. Does anybody need any special medicines to take on the trip? As your trip gets further away and a longer time frame the more planning will need to be involved.
The first thing I did in preparation was go on-line and find where I was going, so I could print a map and know the distance we were traveling. Then came the discussion time with the wife as to did we want to stay over a night or just drive their and home in the same day. We decided to drive all day. The vehicle, I made sure the tires were inflated properly, the oil was filled and the gas tank was full. My Wife and I do not own a cell phone so I called my parents and borrowed one of theirs, just for security reasons. I have to take medication for a chronic condition I have, making sure I had along the right amount of medication for the day.
The trip did not take a lot of planning but making sure everything was in order and ready did make the trip easier. The next time you plan on taking a short or long trip make sure you sent time a side so you are able to plan ahead, this will make your trip much more enjoyable and relaxing. Please have a safe trip and always buckle-up.
E.J.
