Watching Everything I Eat

It has been been 1 full day since I had a bowel movement, I did have little gas this am, not going to the bathroom just has me a little concered. What is really weird with UC you usually have diarrhea but I have been having constipation. Which leads me to believe maybe something else is going on. I know in November I am going to have a colonoscopy which will tell the whole story I hope. I will just be glad to get some kind of normancy to my life again.

I have been tracking what I eat, which turned out harder than it sounds. Along with writing down the foods I eat, I also write down the carbs and the calories, which has turned out to be interesting. I take in about 1,200 calories a day and 200 carbs a day. I need to work on cutting down on the carb intake.

I am going to work on 2 other area's and track there progession, relaxation and exercise. Probably be attempting yoga for the relaxation and I do have an exercise cd which I have done before and I enjoyed it. All that I have to do is implement the two into my daily schedule which means revamping what I do and sticking to the process.

The gut from what I have been reading is a the key area to being healthly. I look at the gut as a keystone on a building which holds everything together. When the gut is in good health this will improve the rest of the body. The work to improve my gut is going to be a long and hard road since I have ingnored it for at least 15yrs. Which is my fault and I take full responsiblity for. I do not plan to take any over the counter cleaning stuff or any stuff you see on those infomorshores. I am going to try and keep it as healthly as possible and do it the old fashion way "Earn It", there are not any short cuts to good health. I will be working on a training schedule and will be updating my progress as the days go by. Talk another day.
